Simulation of Structural Change

摘要

The paper discusses in a general perspective the simulation of structural changes in systems. it stresses the need of a general theory of structural changes and it presents some ideas to build up such theory, in particular the basis to establish a taxonomy of structural changes. With this background, it analyses the characteristics and porblems of the simulation of these porcesses(structural simulation) and of languages to support this type of simulation. Furthermore, it gives ideas of the GLIDER simulation language, in which some of these capabilities were invorporated. It also presents three examples of structural changes simulated with this language.
