Correct assessments of influence in relation to the input mix for waste treatment is often the key to transform this process/problem into a profitable business venture. However, the stochastic influence on the behaviour of the waste mixes i often very high. This is why it is important to develop new tools and experimental analysis based on simulation in order to determine the influence of waste mixes o nthe efficiency of the treatment. This paper presents the applciation of FDM to an existing treatment plant operating in this sector.
