In this paper, we verify that floc size distribution can be used as an effective scale-up tool for coagulation processes. Scaling between pilot and plant coagulation reactors is mainly achieved by an increase in unit mass energy dissipation measurements makes it possible to select the best operating conditions for the full-scale coagulation reactor from pilot scale testing.
