Phase aberration measurement and correction by complex cross correlation of analytic signals in lutrasonic imaging systems

This paper is concerned with phase aberration measurement and aberration correction suitable for ultrasonic linear array systems. We assume that the aberration is caused mainly by a layer of velocity inhomogeneity located near the transducer surface, such as a fatty layer under the skin surface. The phase aberration profile along the array is measured in the following way.
