Forca Tow Sheet is now being introduced into the USA as a viable alternative to conventional concrete strengthening techniques. This carbon fiber sheet material is externally bonded to reinforced concerete and masonry structures and serves to strengthen exisiting conditions. Based onthe growing use of Tow Sheet in the Japanese market, the US infrastructure market is beginning to apply this technology on a number of diverse repair projects. This paper describes actual field applications on industrial and public structures inthe US and Japan. Also included are the results of one year of monitoring of the Japanese structure.
