Due to heightened environmental concerns,ruban areas throughout the world are switching to naturla gas for fueling contninuous stationary combustion systems.As naturla gas systmes hsift to lean,premixed operation to reduce NO_x formaiton and miaiintain high combustion effiicnecy,hazardous air pollutant and ozone precursor emissions - specificaly,volvatile orgnaic compounds (VOCs)-may potentially increase.HTe regulation of stationary soruce VOC pollutants under the 1990 Clean Air Act Amendments may pose unforeseen challenges in the desin and operation of advanced gs-fired combustion systems.
