A novel high-pressure jet-stired reactor (JSR) has been used to study the formation of NO_x,N_2O ,and CO in lean premixed combustion of methane-air mixtures at prssures up to 20 bars.Experiments were carrried out at residence times of 1.0,1.5 and 2.0 ms,at an equivalence rtio of 0.55 and tat temerpatures of 1510 and 1550 deg C.The measrued NO_x concentrations show a distinct negative trend with increasing pressure and clearly decrease with decreasing resience times at pressures < 5 bars. At higher pressures,the influence of residence tim is diminished.
