Velocity and scalar statistics for premixed turbulent stagnation flames using piv

particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) has been used to study premixed turbulent methane-air flames in a stagantion plate configuration.The PIV image wre recorded with a CCD video camera,and velocities have been calacualted by cross-correlation.the flow was seeded with alumina particles so that velocities could be measrued in both reactants and porducts,and a masking technique wasd used to improve results form interrogation spots located along the flame front.
