Reburnign is ocnsidered as a technique that would enable the present and future legislation for boiler emissions to be met,as well as potentially providing No_x reduction with reasonable capital expenditure.The technique has not been apleid extensively in new or retroit aplciations,and htis may be due ,in part,tio the ocmplexity of designing a new bioler or modifyign an existinfg one and a scarcity of research informaiton available oto aid in this design.Other factors preventing hte implementaiton of th reburning technique ar ethe perceived problem of carbon burnout and the flame stability over a wide rnage of boiler operating conditions.
