Minnesota guidestar's 'genesis project': launched and operational

Genesis is an operational test funded by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) in partnership with private industry. It is designed to assess the utility of providing personalized traffic information to travelers via Personal Communication Devices (PCDs) such as alphanumeric pagers, personal digital assistants (PDAs) and notebook computers.
