The fracture toughness properties of A 285 steels are being measured at various material and test conditions for application to elastic-plastic fracture mechanics analysis of high level waste storage tanks at the Department of Energy Savannah River Site (SRS). Thesting is being performed to determine the effect of composition, microstructure and orietnation on the J-integral resistance (J-R) behavior at minimum operating temperatures.
