Oscillators equipped with SC-cut blanks are coming more and more into use, although their production is more complicated than that of AT-cut blanks because two angles have to be considered instead of one in the case of AT-cut blanks. The present paper describes a method of cutting SC-cut blanks under a steady X-ray control. This avoids later processing steps, which become necessary if the cutting process is not accurate enough.
