Guangzhou Putnped-storage Power Station(GPSPS) which has an installed capacity of 2400 MW is scheduled to be completed in two stages. All bids are won by our bureau. The first stage has an installed capacity of 1200 MW. Its first unit was in service on 23 March, 1993. All the four units of stage I, completed only by 49 months, were put into commercial operation by the end of 1994. The construction period of stage I is 54 months. The second stage, scheduled to be on line by the end of 1998, is being constructed smoothly. The entire project is rapidly constructed with high quality and low cost.
