Wuqiangxi, the largestFrancis turbines in China

摘要

The Francis turbines for the Wu Qiang Xi power plant are the largest in China. They were manufactured in close cooperation between the foreign supplier, VOITH HYDRO and the Chinese partner, Harbin Electric Machinery Co. Lt.d. (HEC). The 3 units supplied under the cooperation work to the full satisfaction of the client. Some of the challenges faced during the design, manufacturing and installation are presented in this paper.
