A Prototype for the Desktop Data Conferencing System and its Further Development

摘要

A prototype for the desktop data conferencing system is designed and implemented. The system works in an environment of UNIX workstations and TCP/IP network, and its realization is heavily dependent on the multimedia techniques. The primary requirements of the desktop data conferencing system and the key points for its realization are fully described. Besides, several aspects where the performance and functions of the system need further enhancing and developing are mentioned.
