The Role of Lubricants in Rigid PVC Foam Processing

摘要

This study is designed to evaluate the role the lubricant has in the processing and final cell morphology. By developing a standard formulation in which only the type of lubricant was varied, the direct effects of functionality of the lubricant could be observed. It was found that lubricant type is very important not only to ease of processing, but to the effectiveness of the blowing agent and the end density of the foamed material.
