摘要

This paper presents FTAES, a knowledge based system developed for reliability analysis and real time detection and diagnosis applications in the offshore industry. Object oriented structures, production rules representing the expert's heuristics, algorithms and database structures are the basic elements of the system. The system was designed as a blackboard architecture that supports both qualitative and quantitative evaluations of the fault tree. A fuzzy set approach anlyzes problem s with lack of failure data or large amount of fuzziness or imprecision.
