The application areas of ROADGUARD focus on dangerous road sections with increased accident risks and high accident rates: traffic bottlenecks, tortuous roads, construction areas, tunnels and bridges. The main tasks are incident and violation detection combined with early warning of the road users in real time and in situ. Safety will be improved by early warning for inadequate driver behaviour. ROADGUARD can be integrated in traffic management systems.
