摘要

In this work, the results of a project devoted to provide programming facilities to develop hard real-time software are presented. MINIX operating system has been used as a tool for the experience. The programmer is allowed to define timing constraints for the tasks, letting to the operating system the work of running them in a timely fashion. In this way, productivity, security and costs in the development cycle can be improved. The schedulers can be easily changed, providing a framework to test new scheduling solutions.
