PREPARATION BTS AND MAS GLASS-CERAMICS AS PANE MATERIALS FOR LIGHT SCATTERING AND DEPOLARIZATION

摘要

The BTS(BaO-TiO_2-SiO_2)and MAS(MgO-Al_2O_3-SiO_2 ) glass- ceramics have been prepared as a pane material with light scattering and depolarization due to their special crystallization features. The experiment results indicate that the crystallization process is controllable and could be managed to the purpose, and the measured properties (surface hardness, constant of thermal expasion and optical characteristics) could meet the requirement of replacing natural materials.
