To study the moistening of 2-nd phase surface five varieties of 2-nd phase (quartz, anortit, mullit, diopsid and hematit) were used. This choice of material was condihioned by oxygen content in their composition. The oxygen content in living materials which is a criterion of the lining materials composition was chosen as a measure of influence of 2-nd phase composition on the size of moistening angle. When the size of moistening angle was compared with the size of tangent of moistening angle it was found out that the tangent decreased, the relative oxygen content decreasing, too.Hence we come to the conclusion that the decrease in oxygen content in lining materials causes the decrease in glass melt adhesion to the lining surface.
