Surface analyzer was used to investigate Sn and its states on float glass surfaces. On the lower surface on float glass, average tin concentration is about 2%, and the concentration decrease with depth. Sn exsts in the form of Sn~(4+) and Sn~(2+). The properties of float glass surface can be improved by changing the state of Sn.
