摘要

The effect of jet impacts on soft transparent material was studied to investigate the possibility of coating hydraulic machines with suitable resilient material which can reduce or even eliminate cavitation damage by directing the jet away from the boundary. The behaviour of the cavitation bubble near a low impedance solid boundary was examined experimentally by employing natural gelatin as a solid boundary and the cavitation activities were visualised using a highspeed video image processing system.
