摘要

The flow through a model pump impeller of centrifugal type was successfully measured by Particle Image Displacement Velocimetry (PIV). Reversed flows were found in the passage of the four bladed impeller operated at optimum condition. The separation on the blade suction side appeared behind the inlet and then shrank gradually towards the exit of the impeller. The flow on the blade pressure side stagnated and separated in the upper stream region, and reattached in the downstream region. The main through flow was relatively stable.
