ON THE TECHNOLOGY OF RETURN AIR REHEATING

摘要

One of the problems in the air conditioning system is the consumption of energy caused by the supply air temperature difference. This paper tries to provide a solution to the problem by utilizing the new technology of return air reheating which will make use of the return air to heat the supply air based on the cold and heat feedbacks of the system itself. The rationale and practicality of the technology will be discussed in some detail by analysing the air processing procedures, equipment selection and matching, and by comparing the new technology with the traditional system of primary and secondary return air. The paper will also evaluate the possible economic benefits if the new technology is to be adopted. The paper concludes that the application and adoption of this technology will pave the way for the production of energy-saving air conditioning systems,will help to limit considerably or to stop altogether the use of traditional ones, and will help to put the energy-saving policy into practice.
