A novel optical compressor for cell-interleaved time-division multiplexing system

A novel optical compressor capable of generating optically compressed very high bit-rate optical signals with minimum hardware is presented. We demonstrate a generation of optically compressed 6Gbps optical cells to confirm the fundamental operation of this compressor.
