ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY BETWEEN THE RADAR SERVICES AND THE FM AND TV BROADCASTING SERVICES IN BAND 30--300 MHz

S:On the basis of measuring numerous radars in the band 30--300 MHz, the spectrum characteristic of pulsed radar equipment, empirical and normalized formula of radar output signal spectrum is given in this paper. Then the paper describes the different mechanisms of interference from the radar station to FM and TV broadcasting services in different distances. In the end the protection ratios required for different grades of reception quality for FM and TV signals are given. It will provide scientific basis for ensuring electromagnetic compatibility between radar station and broadcasting services.
