Treatment of swimming pools with ozone and bromine-a case study

Ozone activation of bromide is a viable treatment alternative for commercial swimming pools and spas, however, little data has been published on the practical utilisation of the method. Five Australian indoor pool complexes have been operating for up to three years using the ozone/bromide treatment technique. Three additional systems are presently under construction, which will incorporate this treatment method.
