Results are presented on wastewate decolorization and on the influence of an auxiliary product on of decolorization using ozone. The s tudy was performed using two types of dyes: Acid Red 158 and Disperse Red 60. From the kinetic studies of the decolorization reaction, correlations were established to predict the kinetic constant from the initial dye concentration in aqueous solution at specified operating conditions. The preaction rates were not influenced by pH and the effect of temperature was not very significant.
