An econmical orthogonal aerial imagery generation system for GIS data revision

摘要

This paper proposes a system for generating orthogonal aerial imagery. It makes use of existing DEM data and digital topographical map for calculating the orientation of the camera. An easy to use user interface is implemented for fast image registration and error correction, which is important when using data without enough precision. Experimental results shows that the proposed system can generate reasonably precise orthogonal aerial imagery at low cost. The system also has the function of mosaicing the orthogonal imageries to form panorama image.
