DEFLOCCULATING ADDITIVE EFFECT ON THE SETTING TIME OF THE ANDALUSITE BASED LCC CASTABLES

摘要

Andalusite is a metamorphic aluminium nesosilicate with the chemical formula Al_2O_3.SiO_2. Andalusite is part of the trimorphous group together with the minerals Kyanite and Sillimanite~ ([1].) As a natural raw material Andalusite finds its use in the monolithic refractory. The property of its transformation into mullite from 1200°C provides a high thermal stability and a low creep property in refractory castable.
