NEW MULTIFUNCTIONAL CASTABLES FOR MULTIPLE APPLICATIONS

摘要

A new line of refractory castables with several aggregates (WFA, BFA, bauxite, grog, SiC and fused silica) has been developed. These new castables have been developed to provide versatility in applications, which can occur by ramming, vibrating, pumping and self-flowing. The particle size distribution has been adjusted with Andreasen model and an intermediate q value, which provides this versatility in application with water content changes. PSDesigner software was used in the project of microstructure of these castables. The work presents the thermo mechanical properties obtained, as well as the simulation in specific attacks. Moreover, the results of field trials in multiple applications including foundry, iron pelletizing, petrochemical, incineration, aluminum, etc.
