Pellet transfer - preventative measures employed to reduce streamer formation

The movement of polymer pellets through transfer systems can lead to the formation of streamers (angle hair, snakeshins, or fluff) under certain conditions. The presence of these streamers may introduce several downstream processing and quality concerns. Preventative equipment and procedures can be put in place to eliminate or reduce the generation of streamers at several points int he resin handling process.
