Adhesion of polyesters in extrusion coatings

In recent years, there has been an increase in worldwide interest in extrusion coating of polyesters. As extrusion coating converters tackle the challenges of this non-traditional resin, adhesion is a primary concern. The purpose of this paper is to examine the mechanisms of polyester adhesion to substrates and use this understanding to propose methods for producing a successful extrusion coated polyester structure.
