Network planning for XDSL

摘要

We define a process by which telephone companies can evaluate where and how to upgrade existing copper-based loop networks to Digital Subscriber Line (xDSL). Our approach combines telephone company data and readily available demographic information to estimate demand for xDSL services and to find least-cost configurations of xDSL equipment to meet this demand.
