SECAM color signal encoding require frequency domain processing. High frequency pre-emphasis is the most demanding due to group delay requirements of the notch filter and signal frequency: 3.900-4.756 MHz. This work is dedicated to the design of low frequency complex digital SECAM signal processing algorithm. Thus high frequency signals can be processed by low speed digital hardware. The signal carrier to bandwidth ratio of color SECAM signal is rather small (approx1), so the Hilbert transform utilization require additional examination of resulting errors. This is done in this work theoretically and confirmed by mathematical modeling.
