We investigated the current-voltage (E-J) characteristics in melt-textured YBCO strips by measuring the magnetic-field-sweep rate dependence of magnetization. The E-J curves exhibited power-law behavior in the electric-field window of E=1-~-10-10~-5 V/m. We alos derived the E-J characteristics in the lower Ewindow from the flux-creep data. The wide-range E-J characteristics exhibited near power-law behavior, but there was a slight downward curvature in the logE vs logJ plots. We observed a drastic decrease of flux creep by decreasing temperature slightly in a fixed magnetic field.
