R_2AgIn_3 (R chemical bounds Ce, Pr, Nd, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er) compounds crystallize in the hexagonal P 6_3/mmc space group. They order antiferromagnetically with T_(ord) ranging from 2 K (Ce) to 42 K (Tb), with Dy, Ho presenting positive paramagetic Curie temperatue. Susceptibility measurements of Pr, Nd, Dy, Ho, present irreversibility below T_N, the field cooler (FC) courves differing substantially from the zero field cooled (ZFC) curves with maxima near T_N.
