In this paper, the single-phase boost power factor correctionconverter is discussed in detail. With the Fourier series analysis ofthe general model, the low frequency model and high frequency model areproposed. From the low frequency model, the expression of the dutycycle, the boundary between continuous current mode (CCM) anddiscontinuous current mode (DCM), the study of the cusp distortion andthe ripple output voltage are developed. While the high frequencycomponents of the input current are described based on the highfrequency model. Theoretical results are demonstrated by simulation andexperiments
