The FWD instrument has been used to evaluate the pavement modulus for many years, and many backcalculation programs were operated. However, owing to the non uniqueness of backcalculation arithmetic and deflection errors caused by different devices and in-situ conditions, none of the existing backcalculation programs can guarantee to give reliability results. In order to increase the reliability of backcaculation moduli, a new backcalculation program have been developed by using Extended-Bayesian-Method (EBM). In this paper, this program is used to deflection basins were obtained by different FWDs at the same place in 1991. The variation coefficients of backcalculated moduli were estimated to discuss the practicability of this program, and these were also compared with the results of another program which used the Minimum-Square-Method (MSM).
