An Enhanced Bandwidth Balancing Mechanism of The DQDB MAN

摘要

The Bandwidth Balancing (BWB)mechanism of the DQDB protocol has several drawbacks such as inefficiency of priori ty scheme and unfaimess in the multiple priority implementation.In this paper,an enhanced BWB mechanism is proposed to solve these problems.In the proposed mechanism,a separate BWB is appl ied to each priori ty level.Simulation result indicates that the enhanced version not only may provide more efficient priori ty transmiSSions but also may offer fai rer access opportuni ties among nodes.
