Direct sequence spread spectrum with its inherent resistance to multipath is becoming a commercial reality for indoor wireless communication. To allow multiple users within the limited bandwidtit allocated by the FCC,code-division multiple-access(CDMA)is needed. This paper analyzes the performance of M-ary CDMA systems over fading multipath indoor radio channels using channel measurements from five different locations. The performance is presented as the probability of error as a function of signal-to-noise ratio for a given number of active transmitters.
