FNMS COMMUNICATIONS PLATFORM

摘要

FOG is the communications platform for the FTS-2000 Network Management System (FNMS).FOG provides location-transparent inter-process and inter-machine communication services for FNMS applications which run in a heterogeneous network environment.In addition to a high level application programming interface,FOG offers a mechanism to support dynamic one-to-many communications and flow control.FOG also guarantees the integrity and consistency of the application data regardless of system and network problems.FOG is also capable of supporting a substantially large number of machines running simultaneously.In this paper,we present the architecture and design of the FNMS communications platform.Paradigms of the FNMS communications based on the FOG client-server model are also presented.
