French spatial agency (CNES) prepares for the end of the century, an X-Band Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) called “Radar 2000”. Its mission is earth observation and vegetation control. Better than optical Spot satellites, it also provides supervision missions even with bad weather conditions.
