The first viewpoint is the most reliable, because it is influenced by the trends in the world politics to lowest extent. Therefore, technological progress will be our guide to the future, and nonmetallics will be discussed in alphabetical order.Nonmetallic mineral raw materials not mentioned in this survey are expected to be utilized along present lines, have adequate reserves and resources, and do not pose any serious environmental problems.
