3M rewritable media

The latest 3M development in digital optical storage is therewritable optical disc which can be written upon, read, erased andre-written upon repeatedly with little practical limitation, like amagnetic disc. The first generation of 3M optical rewritable products isa laminate structure of two moulded polycarbonate discs, to form one ortwo-sided storage media as required. The laser reads and writes throughthe substrate and this construction is referred to as a substrateincident construction
