Intelligent Communication Terminal for Integrating Voice, Data and Video Signals

摘要

This paper focuses on an experimental multi-media terminal for communications. Required multi-media communication terminal functions are discussed, first, assuming the realization of an integrated digital network system. Next, the terminal functions are studied through the development of an intelligent communication terminal for integrating voice, text, graphics and still picture signals.Finally, as new services, multi-media information editor, and desk-to-desk conference system are introduced. So far, it has been experimental ly confirmed that sharing multimedia documents between terminals provides an effective function for a desk-to-desk conference system.
