A microprogrammable display processor concept

In late 1971 we started research on an intelligent microprogrammed display terminal for 3-D dynamic interactive computer graphics. The system was to be used in a "stand alone mode" or a "satellite mode". The following report will give a brief survey of the hardware concept /1/. The system has not yet been realized, but has been simulated to some extent with SIDIS /2/ on a CD 3300 computer.
