摘要

Fluid loss that can occur when performing sand control operations in high-permeability sandstone formations has traditionally caused operators much concern because of the formation damage that can result, reducing production potentials and increasing operational costs. In the Gulf Coast area, wells are usually perforated with tubing coveyed perforating (TCP) guns in an underbalanced condition. After the perforating and well flow processes have been performed, the wells are killed. Unfortunately, at any time after the well has been peforated until it is completed, fluid loss can occur.
