Ice Drift, Induced by the Wind Influence on the Northeastern Shelf of Sakhalin Islan

Vector series of ice drift and wind velocities were analyzed.rnEstimates of maximum and average velocities of the non-tidalrncomponent of ice drift are obtained. The analysis shows a highrncorrelation between the wind series and the residual component of icerndrift. Values of "wind coefficient" are calculated using linearrnregression. A matrix of linear transformation is found to represent thernrelationship between the vector series of wind and drift by an ellipse.rnValues of drift parameters at different stations are given.
